Description

The Rise of Nation State Attacks, sponsored by CounterTack and conducted by Ponemon Institute, reveals organizations’ lack of readiness to respond to nation state attacks due to an uncertainty as to what a nation state attack is and how to identify the key characteristics, methods and motives of these attacks that originate with foreign governments. Without such understanding, a strategy to address the increasing likelihood of a nation state attack on an enterprise organization or a federal government agency will be difficult to achieve. Worse, the risk of an attack going undetected and critical organizational data exfiltrated becomes exponentially higher. Ponemon Institute surveyed 639 U.S. IT and IT security practitioners who are familiar with their organization’s ability to defend against cybersecurity attacks and have some level of responsibility in directing cybersecurity activities and addressed their findings in this book.
